A Trek to Ettina Bhuja: From Lost to found

A trek to Ettina Bhuja is a great adventure if you have just started trekking.....! This trek requires a great stamina and courage to reach at the peak of hill....

 We started our journey from Bangalore at night around 10.30 p.m. to reach Dharmasthala...Ettina bhuja is around 40 km away from Dharmasthala.Once you reach Dharmasthala, you can find few nice hotels there, where you can get freshen up and get ready for trek....
Take a bus from Dharmasthala to Shishila (a base camp for Ettina Bhuja) and once you reach Shishila you need to take one auto to reach at base of hill...And your trek starts here :-) :-)

At starting of trek, you will feel like you have entered a dense forest...Entire path is fully covered by trees, where you can hear bird chirping and enjoy seeing different insects too ;-)....After 10 minutes of walk, you will see a small water stream , which you need to cross....This is immense pleasure to your eyes and you get fully excited for trek....

After this, you need to find a trail very carefully....Hiring a guide is necessary in this trek..otherwise there is a huge chance that you will get lost in dense forest.....We were walking in such dense forest and finally we  lost in between of forest... Here, you need to have so much courage to get back to right track...Hats off to our colleague cum guide Sharath , who was still trying to find path using Compass.....

Finally my another friend Priti asked us to stop and think. We all were confused but we did not loose hope...Finally we heard some male sound, who was calling us.We followed that direction and he showed us the correct path...Finally, we found the correct trail, which was calling us to reach at the top of the hill................................................................................................................ 

So, if you have will, god will show you the way :-) :-) :-)

Now, here comes your test of stamina,,,,To reach at base of hilltop, you need to cross so many hills which are quite steep..We were carrying all camping material with us like tents, food material etc. Hats off to all my friends (Priti, Divya, Akash, Kishore and Sharath) who were able to carry and climb it smoothly.You must develop your stamina for this trek.. After this we finally reached at base of hilltop and did camping there...

Water is not available at this base of hilltop..So, if you don't have enough water, then stretch yourself more to reach at peak , where you will find enough resources for water...There are no animals in this region..So, you can enjoy camping here...:-)

Next day, we again started our journey to reach at hilltop..It is about 2 hours from from this base...Path is again through dense forest and then finally you will find one plateau..After this you finally reach at peak :-) :-)

Once you reach this hilltop, you don't need to return via same way..There is another way from this hilltop, which will take you to main road in just 1 hour (approximately 4 kms).....
